Rhinebeck: One of our food pantries needs a little help- Rhinebeck Reformed Church

Want to donate to the food pantry? See below for our current needs! Canned and dry food donations will be accepted ONLY on Tuesdays between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM until further notice. Thank you for not leaving bags on the patio.

Fresh fruits and vegetables may be dropped off ONLY on Mondays, 4:00 to 6:00 PM, in the outdoor coolers located on the patio (Route 9 side of the church). Garden produce welcome! (Sorry, but we can’t accept fresh produce on Tuesdays.)

Here are some of our current needs/guidelines:

IMMEDIATE NEEDS –
Canned beans: black, white and chickpeas
Canned water-packed white chicken breast & white tuna
Tomato and pasta sauces; tomatoes (any kind)
Rice (brown and white)
Rice-A-Roni
Pasta Roni
Macaroni & cheese
Masa and corn meal

Hygiene items:
Tooth paste, tooth brushes, laundry detergent

GUIDELINES:
~ We cannot accept opened/used or repackaged food or undated or expired food. (The Regional Food Bank is quite strict about what pantries can accept for our safety and our clients.)
~ Direct food purchases for the pantry–brought from the grocery stores directly to the church–are safer than taking the items into homes and then donating them.

We are grateful to be part of such a supportive community!
