Exercising before surgery — known as pre-habilitation — can help with recovery time and post-operation pain, said Amy Tourge, supervisor of the Wellness Center.
“It may even shorten your hospital stay,” she said.
Classes are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening throughout the week. Cost is included in membership. A one-month membership is $50 while fees may be covered by some insurances, including select UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans.
