On Monday, May 13th, The Rhinebeck Rotary Club will hold its annual Service Above Self Awards and Recognition Dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Welcome Center at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, in Rhinebeck, New York. This year’s theme is “Women of Rhinebeck”and honored will be Marybeth Cale, Jennifer Hammoud, and Elizabeth Mazzarella as “Citizens of the Year.” The club will also give Spirit of Service Lifetime Achievement Awards honoring two members lost in 2018,David Albahary and Gary McDonald, as well as Paul Harris Awards to Carolyn Bernitt, Gail Saucier, and Jeff Scales. James Chapman of Rhinecliff Event Catering will cater the event.
Marybeth Cale has served the community in a variety of leadership roles, including as trustee of The Anderson Foundation for Autism, The Winnakee Land Trust, and The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley. Jennifer Hammoud was a founding member of the Rhinebeck Science Foundation and has served as its President since its inception in 2007. Elizabeth Mazzarella brought Porchfest– a celebration of community through music on Rhinebeck’s historic porches – to the village in 2016 to support the Rhinebeck Community Park.
Tickets to the dinner are $85 individually and $850 for a reserved table of 10. Sponsorship packages, including program listings, ad pages, and reserved tables, are also available at the bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond levels.
