Village of Rhinebeck Residents,
A report was issued on radio station 92.9 that the communities of Hyde Park and Rhinebeck are under “restricted use” because of a lack of capability to draw water from the Hudson River due to ice buildup at the treatment plant’s intake. The restricted use order was implemented by the Hyde Park Water Treatment Plant to their water consumers. There was a little confusion to Village and Town residents of Rhinebeck because the Hyde Park water system reaches the southern border of Rhinebeck.
The Rhinebeck Water Treatment Plant is experiencing normal operations and the consumers of the Town and Village of Rhinebeck are under no such restriction and may continue to use their water as usual.
