An afternoon of local faves for local fun!
Hope Rocks will be held at the spectacular Cantine Veterans Memorial Complex in Saugerties, NY. Cantine is located just mintues from the New York State Thruway (Exit 20) and within walking distance of the quaint village of Saugerties
The biggest gathering in the “coolest little town in America” (CNN). Saugerties locals agree with CNN’s vote deeming the friendly little town as full of purpose and character, “in perfectly small doses” (CNN). Upstate CornuFOLKia is only another reason to love this little community. For one day of the year locals, patrons, and lovers of Saugerties come together to celebrate live, local music and community. Hosted by the Historic Kiersted Dutch Barn and produced by Nightcap Entertainment, this annual festival welcomes the colorful season of harvest on September 1st.
Nightcap Entertainment curated Upstate CornuFOLKia as a benefit for local HOPE ROCKS organization—dedicated to illuminating the darkness of isolation, depression, and addiction by celebrating hope, the arts, and community. Upstate CornuFOLKia endorses all that HOPE ROCKS stands for and hopes to enlighten the community and relinquish the stigma surrounding these harrowing topics. Live music and community is a wonderful way to bring awareness to such issues while keeping people connected and engaged.
“The festival’s namesake is inspired by the symbolic harvest Cornucopia. The same abundance that you’d find in a cornucopia, we hope to bring you on September 1st! We love the local community and our cause” (Ayla Rector, Co-Founder). Upstate CornuFOLKia just announced their line-up of local favorites including, Mateo & Dougan, Paul Luke Band, Ian Flanigan, Logan Callahan, Mead Mountain Resonators and Boston’s beautiful Susan Cattaneo. Tickets $10 online pre-sale, $15 at the door and kids are free. 5-9:30pm on September 1st, 2018. Bring your kids for face painting. Local food, wine, and beer available for purchase.
