Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce hosts Dutchess Tourism Customer Experience Event
May 7, 2018, Rhinebeck, New York — In an effort to arm local businesses with the best strategies for customer attraction and retention, the Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Customer Experience Training Seminar at The Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck on Wednesday, May 16 from 8:45am-9:45am. Guest speaker Dawn Hopper, Director of Tour & Travel with Dutchess Tourism, will guide the discussion. The topics of going beyond typical customer service, anticipating patron expectations and presenting fluid professionalism along every step of the customer experience will be covered.
According to Hopper, “Customer experience training is crucial for any business who engages with people, which is really everyone. Participants will learn tips on how to create a positive first impression and establish a lasting relationship with customers.” With tourism being so prevalent in our area and the high season upon us, this seminar is well-timed to assist businesses with the right tools and attitudes – whether their customers live near or far. “We will give everyone insight into how they fit into tourism’s big picture” she adds.
Claudia Cooley, Executive Director of the Rhinebeck Chamber, chimes in: “This seminar is for all types of businesses, not just tourism related. We’ve extended an invitation to our neighbor business groups Pine Plains Business Association, Red Hook Chamber, Stanford Business Association and Tivoli Merchants + Artists, as Northern Dutchess becomes even more desirable to residents, visitors and travelers. It is our way to continue making a positive investment in our community.”
There is no fee to attend, but the Chamber requests attendees RSVP to reserve their spot: http://www.rhinebeckchamber.com/events/details/customer-experience-seminar-presented-by-dutchess-tourism-5281 .
