Rhinebeck BOE Seeks Volunteers to Serve On Community Advisory Committee for Long Range Planning
After developing the concept for a Long Range Plan during the 2017-18 school year, the Rhinebeck Central School District Board of Education, at their meeting on April 24, 2018, adopted a charge for a Citizens Advisory Committee, pursuant to the establishment and population of such a committee this Spring.
The Board’s adopted charge to the Citizens Advisory Committee is as follows:
“The Board of Education invites members of the Rhinebeck Central School District community to come forward with expressions of interest in participating in the RCSD Citizens Advisory Committee for Long Range Planning.
Members of the Citizens Advisory Committee will be charged with working alongside members of the Board of Education’s Long Range Planning Committee to advise the Board regarding significant opportunities for innovation in our schools as well as priority-setting for allocation of resources in the coming budget cycle and beyond.
These discussions and deliberations will be guided by the mission, vision, and core values of the Rhinebeck Central School District as well as documents produced by the Comprehensive District Education Plan (CDEP) team. Meetings will be held over the course of at least three (3) evenings to be scheduled prior to the Board’s adoption of goals for the 2018-19 academic year.”
During the next several weeks, the Board’s Long Range Planning Committee will develop a process to engage community members, including parents, staff, students, and other community members to participate in the Citizens Advisory Committee for Long Range Planning, as outlined in the charge adopted by the Board of Education.
At this time, individuals interested in participating as a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Long Range Planning, as outlined above, can provide their contact information (name, telephone number, e-mail address, and expression of interest in serving on the RCSD Citizens Advisory Committee for Long Range Planning) with an e-mail to email@example.com or by calling Whitney Druker, Clerk of the Board of Education, at 845-871-5520 ext 5522, no later than Friday, May 25, 2018.
