Rhinebeck, New York……The Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking Rhinebeck Central School District graduating seniors in the Class of 2018 to apply for a one-time scholarship for $1,000.00, two awards of $1,000 each. It is awarded to two Rhinebeck High School Seniors that meets the criteria listed below. The Chamber Scholarship Committee will determine the award recipients based on the applications received. ”Our chamber’s members are very supportive of our local students and want to help them succeed in their education and career goals, “ said Chamber President Phil Meltzer, he continues “Our selection committee is hoping to receive many great applications this year.”  Scholarship funds were raised by various donations by individuals, businesses and via 50/50’s raffles held throughout the year.

Applications will be accepted until May 21, 2018, with the recipient being announced on June 4, 2018 at the twenty first annual Academic Awards Assembly in the Rhinebeck Central School District Auditorium.


General Criteria:

  • Senior graduating in the Class of 2018.
  • Attending college in Fall 2018, preferably majoring in a Business related field.
  • Community Service – please include servicenot mandated by the school district.
  • Two references with contact information.
  • Brief essay about why this scholarship would benefit you. Should be no more than 300 words, but no less than 100 words.
  • Transcript of first three quarters of 2018.
