March 23, 2018: Rhinebeck, NY: The Center For Performing Arts at Rhinebeck resumes its award winning summer camp program this year with expanded offerings, including a new Rock The Center camp, a two-week intensive workshop that prepares teens to perform with a professional rock band in a real rock show. “We are so excited to offer this new rock band camp lead by an amazing performer and producer” said The Center’s Education Director, Babette Fasolino. Sean Matthew Whiteford, who has toured with the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages,” will teach the new camp along with a team of professional rock musicians. Whiteford currently teaches pop, rock and metal band performance in the Hudson Valley.
In addition to Rock The Center, the theater is also adding courses in Teen Improvisation, Stage Managing and Teen Scene Study. Returning camp favorites include three-week Performance Camps (Cinderella, Kids and Doctor Dolittle), Intro to Musical Theater Camp (Seussical, Kids) and a wide array of one-week programs for ages 5 to 95. “We truly have a camp for everyone,” said Babette Fasolino. “Summer is a great time to explore a love for theater!”
