It’s that time of year to make new resolutions: How about sharing your talents with the Morton Community?!!!!!
We’re continuing our tradition of community talent with
Morton’s 9th Annual Community Talent Show.
This is what is important, a group of friends, neighbors, and family getting together and sharing! Sharing your talents and your enthusiasm!
Yes, an evening of guitar playing, storytelling,
dance, jokes, magic, if it’s your talent we want to see it.
As always, this show and our community are all about
enjoyment and camaraderie — NO judgment!
Everyone has a talent for something, and we love to have a big festive night where everyone shares and shines. If you are a visual artist, bring work that you would like to have displayed and, hopefully, purchased by an admiring audience member. If you are a musician or have musical aspirations, be prepared to regale with song (piano provided). If you can talk a blue streak while juggling and playing the saw then sign up, and if you can create an edible masterpiece, we can certainly promise an exeedingly appreciative audience.
Any and all types of creative expression — especially the odd and quirky — are warmly welcomed and embraced.
If you feel that you would prefer your talents remain private,
please come and enjoy the talents of your friends/family/neighbors.
The show will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 starting at 7 p.m.
at Morton Memorial Library & Community House.
(Visual art will remain on display in Morton Hall for the month of March.)
Please contact Sandy by February 2nd if you would be interested in participating and in what capacity.
Please deliver visual art to the library – 82 Kelly Street, Rhinecliff –
by Saturday, February 17th.
We will be showcasing the visual art with an opening on Friday, February 23 from 6:00 – 8:00
to allow more time and room for the appreciating of the art.
