UPDATE RE: Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade of Lights
The PARADE OF LIGHTS will proceed as planned.
Parade lineup from 4:30 to 5pm.
Official Step off 5:00pm
Santa disembarks Dave’s Tree Service vehicle in front of Rhinebeck Bank Parking
lot escorted across street to help with countdown of the tree lighting.
He will then hand out candy canes to children.
Due to potential inclement weather* and safety concerns for both vendors and participants during the late afternoon and early evening, the booth and activity aspect of the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting is canceled. The 3:00pm – 5:00pm programming element is cancelled. The Rhinebeck Bank parking lot will be closed from 1pm till 6pm to keep area safe for actual tree lighting.
We hope families will make dinner plans and enjoy the rest of the evening dining at any our great restaurants in town. We also would like to extend our gratitude to Dave’s Tree Service in their remarkable job in lighting our Rhinebeck village trees. From every approach into the village of Rhinebeck the warm glow of holiday lights brighten the most dampened spirits. Thank you to Rhinebeck Bank, Rhinebeck Ford, Williams Lumber & Home Centers and our friends at Q92 for all helping and donating towards the event.
Most importantly, thank you for being a part of what makes our community so wonderful.
*concerns also based on the use of electrical cords, outdoor outlets mixed with rain
Thank you again for your consideration and cooperation.
