Aetna names Northern Dutchess Hospital as orthopedic Institute of Quality®
Rhinebeck – Northern Dutchess Hospital was recently designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® Orthopedic Care Facility for knee and hip.
The designation was based on the hospital’s unique expertise in consistently delivering evidence-based, safe care, according to the healthcare insurance provider.
To make information about the quality and cost of healthcare services available to its members, Aetna recognizes hospitals and facilities in its network that offer specialized clinical services for certain health conditions. The designation is good for about three years.
“Achieving Aetna’s Institute of Quality honor is not easy. We’re measured on patient safety and quality of care,” said Melissa Hansen-Hall, the hospital’s quality director. “Being selected tells our patients we are a top choice to deliver their orthopedic care.”
Northern Dutchess Hospital’s Bone and Joint Center incorporates a wide array of services on one campus and is accredited by the Joint Commission. A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists and technologists offers patients a nationally recognized and convenient course for treatment.
