Honoring John Hall & Alf Evers

The 5th Annual Spirit of Woodstock, held at a private residence in Woodstock, honors two individuals who embody the fiercely independent spirit that has made Woodstock famous for over 100 years. Featuring live music by the trio of Joel Bluestein, Peter Buettner and Timothy Hill, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres (catered by Black-Eyed Suzie’s) and a silent auction, Spirit of Woodstock celebrates the roots of the Hudson Valley, its natural beauty, iconoclasts, art, culture, innovation, and the river that flows through and connects it. Previous honorees include Michael Lang, Congressman Maurice Hinchey, Mark Braunstein, Levon Helm, Ron Nyswaner, and Philippe Petit. The Spirit of Woodstock Award is hand-crafted by local artisan Steve Heller of Fabulous Furniture. With presentations by Assemblyman Kevin A. Cahill, Chair of the Byrdcliffe Board Henry T. Ford, and former Town of Saugerties/ Ulster County historian Karlyn Elia.
