Village Informational Notice Issued Thursday Evening, March 16, 2017

SNOW REMOVAL:  Please be advised that snow removal will begin tomorrow morning, Friday, March 17th on East Market Street at 6:00 AM and will continue through most of the day in an effort to improve safety and access in the business district.  The Village Highway Department will be assisted by local contractors to ensure that the process is completed as quickly as possible and by the Village Police Department for traffic control to ensure everyone’s safety.  In addition, our highway crew will continue removing snow at intersections to improve visibility and widening travel lanes to allow for safer passage.   Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation during this ongoing storm clean-up.

FIRE HYDRANTS:  Many of our fire hydrants are covered by snow.  The Village Highway Department has been clearing hydrants and starting tomorrow the Village Water Department will be joining the effort, but we need your help.  If there is a hydrant located adjacent to your property or nearby in your neighborhood that is covered by snow, please clear it if you are able.  Time spent by our volunteer firefighters looking for a hydrant and then uncovering it is time lost in an emergency.  Thank you for your assistance.
