PAPER CUTTING WORKSHOP AT THE PINE PLAINS FREE LIBRARY

Pine Plains, NY -On Saturday, April 1st at 2pm, artist Yvonne Laube will be coming to the Pine Plains Free Library to lead a workshop on creative paper cutting. This beginners workshop is inspired by a Pennsylvania German folk art called Fraktur. The workshop will begin with a brief visual history of paper-cutting from around the world.

Using an Xacto craft knife and cutting mat, Yvonne will then lead participants through the basic techniques of paper-cutting to create and decorate their own piece of artwork.

Paper cutting can be a beautiful addition to other craft activities, including scrapbooking, card making, and stenciling.

This workshop is free for adults and teens ages 15 and up, but space is limited, so registration is required. Call or e-mail the Pine Plains Free Library to reserve your space.
The Pine Plains Free Library is located at 7775 South Main in the Town of Pine Plains.
