Screenagers : THURSDAY, MARCH 9, 2017, 6:30-8:30

Are you looking for the best way to manage screen time for your family? Are you worried that your kids will be left behind or that they are too absorbed by their screens?
Dr. Delaney Ruston had these questions and many more about raising her kids in today’s tech heavy culture. We invite you to learn all that she discovered in her award-winning documentary, SCREENAGERS, Growing Up in the Digital Age.
Through poignant and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights the movie reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
There will be a panel of experts to field questions and offer insight after the film.

  1. Thank you! We need this kind of event. A lot of parents are desperately trying to figure out our responsibility in managing screens.

This event can surely begin a discussion. I hope there will be an opportunity for parents to continue the discussion in person — a chance to gather together and talk. I hope this will be encouraged at the event. I expect it will be.

It seems like part of the antidote to the screen obsession would be for parents to get together in person and talk. There will probably be a digital discussion, of course. But parents following up only on screen? That would be too nerve rattling an irony.

Anyone want to drink coffee after. Where could that happen? I’m at glenn@cherrits.com.
