Rhinebeck primary care office adds physician
Rhinebeck, N.Y. – Dr. Amy Cocina joined Health Quest Medical Practice’s primary care office in Rhinebeck, where she works to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases that affect adults 18 and older.
“I enjoy working in this close-knit community, near my home and caring for many of my own neighbors as well as friends,” said Cocina, who lives in Rhinebeck with her two sons and husband, an anesthesiologist.
Previously, Cocina was a hospitalist at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, and was chosen by her peers as a 2012 Physician of the Year. She joined the Health Quest-affiliated hospital in 2010 after completing her internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
She holds a doctorate degree of medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a master’s in molecular biology from Princeton University in New Jersey. She graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Geneseo, Livingston County, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and was included in the Alpha Omega Alpha national honor medical society during her graduate studies.
