Sensory Sensitive Performances
This fall we are offering two STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) performances that are specially designed for children and adults with autism or sensory sensitivities. Small customizations will not detract from the show for other audience members; (these include reduction of bright lights and sharp sounds, access to a quiet space, etc.) All are invited to participate. Two sensory-sensitive shows available:
This exciting, interactive show teaches kids the science inside bubbles. Find out different ways bubbles can be used to make our lives easier, softer and even taste better. A bubble volcano. Bubble roller coaster. A kid in a bubble? It’s the craziest, most creative bubble show around. As a finale, Jeff will even put an audience member inside a bubble! Tickets $8.00. For all ages.
This show explores the strong physical laws that can be used to defy gravity: the center of gravity, balance, centrifugal and centripedal force, air pressure, vacuums, Bernoulli’s Principle, flight and sound waves. Students will learn how to balance a broom on the palm of their hand, learn why airplanes fly, witness a madcap plate spinning routine, see student floating on air and more! For grades K-8. Tickets $8.00.
On-site shows also include:
Dorothy has been captured by the Wicked Witch of the West and her friends, the Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow must save her. Children from the audience prove they have power over the Wicked Witch by helping their friends on the stage. They become Munchkins, help oil the Tin Man and one youngster is even magically transformed into the wonderful Wizard of Oz! For grades K-6. Tickets $8.00.
