Annual Art Studio Views Tour Unites Communities through the Arts

Twenty-seven Artists Open their Private Studios to the Public over Labor Day Weekend

Rhinebeck, New York….. The 9th annual Art Studio Views tour, to be held over Labor Day weekend, will include artists from Northern Dutchess County and Southern Columbia County. This free, self-guided event will be open to the public on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4 from 11am-5pm each day.

Over the course of two days, studio doors swing open, inviting visitors into the inner workings of active and creative environments. Tour guests will have the extraordinary opportunity to speak directly with artists about their artwork, be in their actual studio setting, and observe the innovative processes needed to produce their high-quality 2-and 3-dimensional creations. The tour is a great way to begin or enhance your fine art collection.

“The idea of an ‘Art Studio Trail’ is a chance for our community’s most creative individuals to showcase their impressive work and serve as a reminder of the incredible talent in our own backyard,” observed NYS Assemblymember Kevin Cahill. “I’ve had the privilege of helping the arts to thrive in the Hudson Valley for quite some time, but they’ve truly flourished in recent years. What a gift it is to have so much originality, beauty, and expression all around us.  I encourage everyone to take advantage of this unique opportunity,” he further commented.

“Art is one of the few things in the world that transcends different cultures, ages, genders, and class levels.” Joanna Hess, ASV Tour Director shared. “We are fortunate that the various communities in the mid-Hudson Valley encourage, respect, and value the artists that live and have relocated to our beautiful region.”

“Art Studio Views is an incredible opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together to celebrate and support the work of the local artists, who play such an invaluable role in our community,” noted NYS Senator Sue Serino. “This event is a unique opportunity to take in the creative spaces of some of our area’s most talented artists and I encourage all who are able to come out and experience it first-hand. I thank the event’s organizers for their tireless commitment to connecting our community with the arts.”
