Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra Presents an Evening of Opera and Sinatra
RHINEBECK, NY – Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra puts the icing on its 10th anniversary season cake with the sweet sounds of Italian opera and Frank Sinatra. It happens at the orchestra’s annual “pops for pop” concert on the eve of Father’s Day on June 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rhinebeck High School Auditorium.
Under the direction of Kathleen Beckmann, the orchestra will stir things up with singer Mark Raisch and soprano Julia Radosz performing Sinatra standards like “Nice N Easy”, “Night and Day” and “The Way You Look Tonight”, and popular music from La Boheme, La Traviata and The Barber of Seville.
“The orchestra’s annual “pops for pop” concert has always been a hit with our audiences,” says artistic director Kathleen Beckmann, “so it’s fitting that we conclude the celebration of our 10th season with music that is familiar – and just plain fun.”
Tickets for the concert are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $5 for students. To buy tickets and get more information about the concert, go to www.ndsorchestra.org or call 845-635-0877.
The Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra was formed in 2006 to bring live orchestral music to northern Dutchess County and the surrounding Hudson Valley area. Now in its tenth season, the orchestra offers the best possible live performances of classical music at family-affordable prices.
