(Rhinebeck, NY) – The Town of Rhinebeck invites the public to enjoy the Town’s 9th Annual Waterfront Day, a free event at the Rhinecliff Landing on Saturday, June 11th from 11am-7pm.

There will be live music and activities for people of all ages, as well as some interesting and beautiful handmade crafts for sale.  Food will be provided by China Rose Restaurant, with a waterfront menu featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cobb, cole slaw, cold sesame noodles, and soft drinks available for sale.  Some vendors include Possibility Studios, which offers the use of tools, space to work, and assistance in creating projects for both adults and children; FiberFlame Studio, a make-your-own mixed-media art space for all ages and abilities; Living Edge Designs, a Country Living Fair local favorite offering “live edge” cutting and serving boards carved out of local hardwoods such as Walnut, Cherry, Sugar Maple, Locust, and Sycamore; Hudson Valley Pottery school and studio; Healing Pads, heating pads made with corn and infused with lavender; the Town of Rhinebeck Recreation Dept., with information on summer programs and a game table for checkers, chess, dominoes and backgammon; the Rhinebeck Farmers Market; art programs and more!

An exciting new feature this year is the water ferry, which will shuttle people from the Rhinecliff Landing to the Rondout in Kingston (see schedule below).  The cost is $12 one way and $20 roundtrip. The ferry will also offer excursions on the Hudson for anyone who wants a tour of the area between 2:00-4:00 pm for only $5 per passenger.

The day’s events will take place rain or shine.  No vehicles will be allowed on the dock from 10:30am – 7:00pm.  Free parking is available in the Amtrak parking lot, across from the Landing.  For more information, contact Councilperson Elaine Fernandez at 518-256-0714.
