Rhinebeck Central School District Coffee with the Board, Jan 19th, 2016
This coming Tuesday, January 19, 2016, the Rhinebeck Central School District Board of Education will hold the second in this year’s series of informal “coffee hours” that are open to parents, students, and other members of the community. This year, the Board has decided to target a specific theme for each meeting. The theme for the January 19th “Coffee Hour” will be State Budget Impact on the Rhinebeck School Budget.
Several members of the Board of Education will attend each of the two “coffee hours” that day to meet with constituents to hear and discuss the public’s thoughts about the impact of the State budget and the deliberations leading up to the State budget adoption on the development of Rhinebeck’s local school district budget, in a casual, relaxed setting over coffee, tea, and light refreshments. This “Coffee Hour” topic is especially timely, coming on the heels of Governor Cuomo’s State of the State/Budget Address just a week earlier, on January 13.
Your interests about school matters, particularly on the topic of the connection between the State budget and the school district budget, and the possible impact on local programs and services for children, are the agenda. There will be no formal program or presentation, just an opportunity for parents, students and other community members to interact with Board members in an informal setting to discuss this and other school-related matters.
Rhinebeck Board of Education “coffee hours” will be held this Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Chancellor Livingston Elementary School Community Room from 9:00 to 10:00 am, and at the Bulkeley Middle School/Rhinebeck High School Library from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
