Local Authorfest at Tivoli Free Library

 

 

Tivoli, NY –   Bibliophiles of all ages will have a special opportunity to meet local authors, listen to readings, and purchase signed copies of their books at the Tivoli Free Library’s Authorfest on Saturday, December 12 from 1 – 2:30 pm. Several local authors will be at the library reading and signing their books.

The event will kick off  at 1:00 pm with a special reading by children’s author Jerrice Baptiste, who will be reading us her picture book Astrid’s Wish for Papa Noel. Other readings will include:

*Thomm Quackenbush reading from his Nights Dream series of novels.

*Karen Haslem reading from her memoir, Life Amplified: Our Family Touched by Autism

*Nancy Furstinger reading her children’s books, The Forgotten Rabbit, Maggie’s Second Chance, Catskill Creatures, and many more!

*Bettina Mueller reading from her book, A Tea Garden in Tivoli

*Trish Tieger reading excerpts of Bernie Tieger’s book, Tivoli: the Making of a Community.

This is a great opportunity to meet and greet local authors, support their work, and purchase special holiday gifts for the book lovers in your life. After Authorfest, all are invited to stay in Tivoli for Winterfest and enjoy hot chocolate, craft vendors, Santa Claus and more. The annual town tree-lighting will take place at 4:30pm.

The Tivoli Free Library is located in the historic Watts dePeyster Hall at 86  Broadway in the Village of Tivoli, NY.
