Daily Freeman Reports Rhinebeck town supervisor faces election challenge

RHINEBECK >> Democratic incumbent town Supervisor Elizabeth Spinzia re-election bid for a second two-year term will be challenged on the November ballot by Republican town Councilman Bruce Washburn.

The race was finalized following caucuses that had Democrats endorsing incumbent Councilman Allan Scherr and newcomer Edmond Roberts for two four-year terms on the town board while Republicans will have newcomer Sheryl Monaco on the ballot. Monaco has also been endorsed for the Reform Party line.
