Rhinebeck PTSO needs your help!
Dear Rhinebeck Parents,
We urgently need your help! The Rhinebeck PTSO needs money to keep paying for materials and educational experiences that are beyond the reach of the school budget for our students.
The PTSO bank account is dangerously low. Over the past several years, we have been receiving decreasing contributions. This past year, we rolled out new fundraisers, including the Scrip Program (purchasing gift cards for Stop n Shop, Hannaford and Adams, and gift cards for other retailers), but it is not firmly off the ground yet.
So we are now trying to raise $5,000 by July 30th, 2015, in order to set up our budget for next school year.
We are at risk for losing these field trips that PTSO funds: K-Montgomery Place and Bee Trip; 1st-Bowdoin Park; 2nd-The Bardavon; 3rd-Teamwork Counts; 4th-Mohonk Native American Village; and 5th-Howe Caverns.
The PTSO also funds: Arts in Education Programs (many programs and assemblies grades 7-12 and much more) – CLS Book Fair and Ice Cream Social – CLS Fall Festival – Back to School Block Party – 6th Grade Circus – the Rhinebeck High School Newspaper –Teacher requests for educational materials for students in the classroom – additional playground equipment – plus much more…
Every dollar that you give goes directly into materials and experiences for Rhinebeck students. This is a very direct system and it’s worked well over the years: our parents, our money, our teachers and our very own children.
Your donation will be very much appreciated. You will be directly supporting our Rhinebeck children and the teachers who pave their path to learning.
What’s the next step? Mail your check to: Rhinebeck PTSO, P.O. Box 351, Rhinebeck, NY 12572 or drop off your donation in an envelope at any of the three school offices or go to www.rhinebeckptso.org and use the Direct Giving button on the Home Page.
