The Board of Trustees of Rhinebeck Community Scholarship Fund (formerly Dollars for Scholars) has announced that the 2015 scholarship applications are now available in the Rhinebeck High School Guidance Office. Candidates wishing to submit applications for the scholarships must do so prior to the deadline of Wednesday, April 27th (to the Guidance Office).

“This is one of the great Rhinebeck traditions,” stated Ann DiAngelo, longtime trustee. “Over the past several decades, we have awarded almost $400,000 in merit-based scholarships to Rhinebeck youth, which is truly extraordinary.”

“Every year, we are in awe of the high caliber of students who apply,” stated Julie Turpin, trustee. “We very much look forward to learning more about the wonderful achievements of this year’s pool of candidates.”

The Board of Trustees of the Rhinebeck Community Scholarship Fund will review applications and make decisions on awards later this spring. Any student who lives in the Rhinebeck school district is encouraged to apply.

Says Robert Heywood, Guidance Counselor at Rhinebeck High School, “we look for students who plan to pursue higher education in a two- or four-year setting, who have displayed commitment to their academics, their extracurricular activities, their work, and their community. These scholarship awards give us a chance to recognize the students who have been tirelessly dedicated to learning and growing, in all components of their lives. And ultimately, the awards send the message that their community is not only extremely proud of them, but that we all believe in their incredible potential for success.”
