The Daily Freeman Reports: Planned ‘habitat boxes’ on Rhinecliff bulkhead aim to protect Hudson River fish species

RHINEBECK >> The state Department of Environmental Conservation is expected to place four “habitat boxes” along the Rhinecliff bulkhead on the Hudson River to protect fish from predators. At a Town Board meeting Monday, Dan Miller, a state habitat restoration coordinator, said the boxes will be installed after ice floes on the river have melted.
