The first 15 years of my life I lived in the iconic suburban bubble.  Dad, Mom, two older sisters and three dogs in our center hall colonial on a dead end street filled with kids of varying ages.  Kickball, bike riding, playing on dirt hills and in streams.  Sleigh riding and hot chocolate, riding our big wheels in the summer.  The second day of my sophomore year in high school I was called to the guidance counselor and found my aunt and grandmother waiting for me.  My father had died while moving my sister into her dorm room at Ohio University and they were there to take me home.  I was 15.

I graduated from college, married my college sweetheart, moved to NYC and started a job that turned into a career.  I witnessed 9/11 first hand, battled PTSD and drank more than I ate for the better part of…
