RIBBON CUTTING: CLS’s new STEM LAB will celebrate its opening at 6:00. The lab will be open for students, parents, the community and the press to explore and ask questions. It’s already had amazing reviews from primary students.
SCIENCE NIGHT OUT: 6:00-7:30 This program has become so popular that we’ve had to expand it. The magic resides in students teaching students science with interactive and entertaining experiments. Bard College Center for Civic Engagement volunteers design and prepare some of their favorite demonstrations and experiments for Rhinebeck students and their parents, K-5 to get their hands on, get messy and learn something new. The concepts cover a range of academic disciplines, such as dancing goo, bridge-building, magnetic fluids, melted metals, and foam explosions!
In addition Rhinebeck Middle School students have been working with Bard CCE Students for months leading up to Jan. 22nd to run experiments of their own and bring the excitement to CLS with thrilling demonstrations in biology, chemistry, physics, computer science and math!
Come see what happens when you combine college students, middle school students and elementary students ALL DOING EXPERIMENTS!
NOTE: Funding for the CLS STEM Lab provided by the RSF community. Science Night Out is a RSF, Bard CCE and RCSD collaborative – showing how great things happen when the community comes together!
