YOUNG PERFORMERS DAZZLE ROTARIANS
The Rhinebeck Rotary, at a regular meeting at The Beekman Arms on Monday, December 15th, was treated to a holiday concert offered by the young students of The Chancellor Livingston School Show Choir. Under the direction of Sandy Kane, the Show Choir is featured semi-annually at Rotary meetings and this latest production set the holiday mood perfectly.
Presenting a wide range of material from Vincent Guaraldi’s “Christmas Time is Here” from the animated feature “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” to “Let it Go” from another animated feature, “Frozen,” to a traditional winter canon embracing 16th to 19th century songs and airs, including the ever-popular, “In the Bleak Mid-Winter,” the students under Ms. Kane’s direction performed like the young professionals they are.
With choreography by Debra Lavendar, keyboard accompaniment by Celeste Grasso, and percussion infusion by student Jesse Nathan, the show choir put a smile on every Rotarian’s face and added a glow to their cheeks.
