Rhinebeck – Returning for its sixth year, the Annual Holiday Auction is an excellent place to pick up gifts for everyone on your Christmas and Hanukah shopping list. The event on Saturday, November 22 at the Rhinebeck Town Hall, 80 East Market Street, is a joint fund-raiser held by the Chancellor Livingston Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Museum of Rhinebeck History. According to auction co-chairs Sarah K. Hermans, Regent of the CLC NSDAR, and Steven Mann of the Museum, doors will open at 10:00 AM for the silent auction, as well as for a public viewing of live auction items and chance to submit “Absentee Bids”. The live auction will begin at 12:30 PM.
There will be refreshments and bake/food sale tables, as well as antiques and vintage items, hand-made crafts, as well as locally donated products and gift certificates. Some items of note include:
•Several lots of 1964 Beatles trading cards•19th century Hudson Valley provenance solid brass fireplace trivet
•Vintage “Coc-Crow” cocktail glasses and shaker set in original box•A large, barn board folk art birdhouse•An historic three-hour driving tour of the Rhinebeck area
