Rhinebeck Church of the Messiah’s Food Pantry Update

Fresh Produce At the Pantry

During the summer and early fall a variety of growers and retailers help us to make plenty of fresh produce available to clients; and clients, in turn, eagerly look forward to these healthy food choices. Rhinebeck Community Garden members grow vegetables specifically for donation to the Pantry, from seedings donated by the Northern Dutchess Botanical Gardens. Some of our volunteers, clients, parishioners, and local residents bring in produce from their home gardens or nearby farms, and the Food Bank provides us with some basic fruits and vegetables not subject to quick spoiling. Now Migliorelli Farm has also promised to give us fresh produce every Friday morning from the stand in the center of Red Hook. We are grateful for this new source. Please thank Migliorelli’s if you have a chance!
