Local Color” located at Montgomery Row Second Level is open to the public Monday – Friday 9 am – 6 pm; Saturday and Sunday 9am – 3pm. The works are for sale through the artists Sally Lyon and Rosemary Hanson at roh@grahamhanson.com or lyonarts33@yahoo.com.

 

WHO:Rosemary O. Hanson received her BFA in Studio Art from Wells College in Aurora, New York, studied at the Lorenzo deMedici Institute in Florence, Italy, and attended the Art Students’ League painting with many instructors. In 2006, she moved to the Hudson Valley with her family. Inspired by the surrounding environment, she began to paint landscapes. Her paintings illustrate a loose impressionistic style.  She continues to study landscape painting. Her work has been included in several individual and group shows.

 

After earning her BFA, Sally G. Lyon worked in graphic design and illustration, primarily in

NYC where she studied at the Art Student’s League. Lyon returned to fine art that has been exhibited in many galleries and art associations in the region and nationally.

 

WHAT:  “Local Color” is an exhibit of paintings showing Rhinebeck Village and Town landscapes. Local Color” is from August 8 – September 28, 2014.

 

WHERE: Montgomery Row Second Level is located at Montgomery Row,6423 Montgomery Street (Route 9), Rhinebeck.
