Make sure your plans for a perfect summer weekend including cooling off and relaxing at Dutchess County Parks!

Interested in splish, splash water fun?  Wilcox and Bowdoin Parks have some great options to help you and your family stay cool.    At Bowdoin Park in the Town of Poughkeepsie, our water spray feature is a delight for children of all ages.   Gentle water spray from colorful shapes and tubes help youngsters cool off after fun on the nearby playgrounds; but be prepared for many return visits!

At Wilcox Park in Milan, enjoy a day at our lakeside beach.   Wilcox is easy to get to on Route 199 and has great amenities to make for a perfect beach day including mini golf, snackbar, and paddle & row boating.   Having too much fun and don’t want to leave?   Wilcox Park has great camping amenities you can take advantage of as well!

Both Wilcox and Bowdoin Parks also have pavilions available for rental if you’re looking for the perfect place for your next family gathering or other celebrations.

Need to wind down and find some quiet serenity?    Tucked along the bank of the Hudson River in the Town of Poughkeepsie, ourQuiet Cove Riverfront Park offers a peaceful place to relax and unwind.    Enjoy the view from the porch of the Navy Crew house in a comfy Adirondack chair or bring your fishing pole to toss a line into the Hudson.   Watch as the boats cross under the Walkway Over the Hudson or enjoy an easy hike along the walking trails that wind through the park’s 27 acres.
