Historic Rhinebeck Days – May 17 and 18, 2014
Save the Date!
The Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with their annual spring sidewalk sale, announces
Historic Rhinebeck Days on May 17 and 18.
Town-wide non-profit groups have been invited to participate by opening their buildings or setting up displays, exhibits and events off site. Most activities are scheduled for Saturday, but a guided walking tour of Ferncliff Forest, and a first-ever scavenger hunt in the Rhinebeck cemetery are among a number of events taking place only on Sunday. This is a chance to increase your knowledge of Rhinebeck history by viewing a special exhibit, seeing the interior of village churches, discovering a new shop or restaurant, or viewing free films of local interest.
Community groups with historical material who have not been contacted and would like to participate should contact Colleen Cruikshank at the Chamber office, 876-5904 or email Brenda Klaproth, c/o The Historic Rhinebeck committee, at 876-2436 or email@example.com . Sidewalk, shop windows or interior spaces will be available for those organizations who don’t own a building downtown or none at all.
A schedule of activities and a locator map of participating parties will be available from many businesses throughout the village. More details will be announced in early May.
