LOCAL ARTIST JOHN GREENE TO EXHIBIT PAINTINGS AT THE STANFORD GRANGE
Pine Plains, NY resident John Greene will exhibit his paintings on Saturday and Sunday Dec. 14 – 15 and Dec. 21 – 22, from 12pm – 5pm, at the Stanford Grange #808 in Stanfordville, NY. The free Exhibition is hosted by Creative Crossings, the new community-based effort to provide area residents with access to the exceptional visual and performing art produced by local artists in the towns of Stanford, Millbrook, and Pine Plains.
A one-hour wine and cheese Reception will immediately follow at the Red Devon Restaurant, 108 Hunns Lake Road, Bangall, NY.
John Greene paints on large canvases using oil and wax on panel, and occasionally steel, wood, copper and lead. The Exhibition will feature a selection of landscape, dimensional, portal, color field and geometric paintings. Creative Crossings is a new community-based effort to provide area residents with access to the exceptional visual and performing art produced by local artists in the towns of Stanford, Millbrook, and Pine Plains. Creative Crossings seeks to encourage regular engagement among art makers and the public across a broad array of art forms and expressions, in order to enhance the quality of life in our communities. Creative Crossings is sponsored by the Stanford Recreation Commission and the Creative Crossings Council, and is currently being incorporated as a not-for-profit organization.
