Local paper endorses Elizabeth Spinzia for Rhinebeck Supervisor

With the headline “Spinzia has good plans for Rhinebeck”, the Poughkeepsie Journal endorsed, Elizabeth Spinzia, for Rhinebeck Town Supervisor in its Friday, October 25th edition. Spinzia, a Democrat, will also appear on the Independence Party and Working Families Party lines.    She currently serves as a Rhinebeck Town Board member, having been elected in 2011.

The Journal’s strong endorsement cited Spinzia’s active role in the community and business background.  It stated “Spinzia is in an excellent position to take things to the next level and should get the approval of voters.”

Ms. Spinzia has been active with numerous town committees, has secured a significant technology grant that netted $71,756 from Dutchess County’s shared services initiative and has worked to help lower the town’s worker compensation and general liability insurance by over $40,000 a year.  The editorial went on to say “Spinzia would take such a hands-on approach to governing and, given her record as a town board member, she should be given the chance to serve as supervisor.”
