Red Hook Public Library Will Host Carnival-Themed Finale to Summer Reading Program

(RED HOOK, NY)-The Red Hook Public Library’s summer reading program will wrap up the season with Cirque de Summer Book Character Carnival at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 2, at Red Hook Firehouse. Everyone is encouraged to dress as your favorite character from a book!

The event will feature carnival games and crafts. Kids will receive tickets for completing each activity, which can be exchanged for prizes. Refreshments will be served.

The Red Hook Firehouse is located at 42 Firehouse Lane, Red Hook.

This event is free and open to the public.

Red Hook Public Library was founded in 1898 and serves the community of Red Hook and its need for lifelong learning. Since 1935, the library has made its home in a building designed by Orson Squire Fowler. Built by Red Hook Tobacco Factory owner Allen Barringer Hendricks, the house is one of the finest examples of octagonal architecture in the Hudson Valley.
