THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM EST SUNDAY.

* LOCATIONS…THE EASTERN CATSKILLS…MID HUDSON VALLEY…SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL TACONICS…AND LITCHFIELD COUNTY CONNECTICUT.

* HAZARD TYPES…SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS…SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IN THE
  VALLEYS…AND 2 TO 4 INCHES OVER THE HILLS AND MOUNTAINS. ICE
  ACCRETIONS OF A COATING TO AN A TENTH.

* TIMING…A MIXTURE OF LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW THIS AFTERNOON WILL TRANSITION TO FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW TONIGHT…AND THEN TO ALL SNOW AFTER MIDNIGHT.

* IMPACTS…THE LIGHT ICE ACCRETIONS COMBINED WITH THE
  ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL WILL MAKE UNTREATED ROADWAYS
  HAZARDOUS…AND SIDEWALKS SLIPPERY.

* WINDS…EAST TO NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH OR LESS.

* TEMPERATURES…FALLING INTO THE 20S AND LOWER 30S TONIGHT.
