Celebrates Local Small Businesses by Hosting Small Business Saturday Event

RhinebeckNY – The Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce today announced its endorsement and participation in the third annual Small Business Saturday on November 24. Small Business Saturday, which falls between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is a day to support the local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country. American Express created Small Business Saturday in 2010 in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: more demand for their products and services. 

Through a new partnership, American Express and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce offered an exclusive opportunity for chambers to bring Small Business Saturday to theircommunities. The first 50 chambers that rallied a minimum of 10 small businesses in theircommunity and signed up to support Small Business Saturday received a prize package that included promotional materials and consumer giveaway items and Shop Small giftcards to be distributed to shoppers during Small Business Saturday events. 

Come visit the Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce’s table at the Rhinebeck Farmer’sMarket on Sunday, 11/18/2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for promotional give-aways and for more information on how our members will be participating.

On Saturday, 11/24, Stop by to support small businesses and for a chance to win Shop Small gift cards and other giveaways.  Many businesses will have special offers such as gift-wrapping, chances to win great merchandise, and much more.
