Storm Update
THE TOWN OF RHINEBECK RIVER FRONT LANDING IN RHINCLIFF IS CLOSED DUE TO THE RECORD RIVER FLOODING FORCAST.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR THE HUDSON RIVER AT POUGHKEEPSIE. * FROM THIS MORNING UNTIL TUESDAY MORNING. * AT 2 AM MONDAY THE STAGE WAS… 3.9 FEET. * FLOOD STAGE IS 5 FEET. * RECORD FLOODING IS FORECAST. * FORECAST… THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO REACH FLOOD STAGE BY 9 AM TODAY AND FORECAST TO CONTINUE TO RISE TO NEAR 8.4 FEET AROUND 12 AM MONDAY NIGHT. THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE AFTER 4 AM TUESDAY. * IMPACT… AT 7 FEET… MODERATE FLOOD STAGE IS REACHED.

THE RIVER FRONT RAMP IS CLOSED TO PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICLE TRAFFIC UNTIL HAZARDS SUBSIZE.

RHINEBECK CENTRAL SCHOOLS CLOSED MONDAY OCTOBER 29.

 RHINEBECK TOWN HALL WILL BE AVAILABLE AS A STORM RELIEF CENTER

for those who lose power or need shelter. Your town hall has a generator in the event of power outages and will be accessible to the community from Monday till further notice. If you need to use town hall please bring food and priority items you may need.

Please keep in mind that emergency crews will still be addressing conditions resulting from the storm even after rain and wind has subsided. Please limit your travel to allow workers to address conditions unimpeded, until resulting damage has been cleared.
