Tuesday, October 30
10am-2pm – Developmental Check-Ups – Astor Early Childhood Programs, United Way of Dutchess County and the Tivoli Free Library are offering FREE Development Check-Ups for children 4 months to 5 years old. Call 211 to schedule your appointment.
6:00pm – Gentle Movement w/Mimi Graminski – $7 – This class is a gentle workout combining elements of chi kung and yoga with relaxation and breathing techniques. Participants will work on lengthening the body, releasing stress and toxins, and creating stronger balance and posture. The class is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. Wear loose comfortable clothes and bring a mat. Mimi Czajka Graminski has been teaching movement, yoga and chi kung for over 20 years. For the past 10 years she has been intensively studying chi kung and includes this Taoist approach to health in her classes, which she taught in private studios and schools. $7 per session.

10:30am – Preschool Story Time – Join Julie Carino, former classroom teacher and our Youth Program Coordinator, for our fall season of Preschool Story Time – stories & songs followed by crafts! Appropriate for ages 2-5, with caregivers.
4:30pm – Halloween Fun – Trick or Treat at the Library anytime from 10am-7:00pm! Stop in for “Halloween Fun” between 4:30-5:30 when you can play Pumpkin Bowling, try the Spooky Penny Pitch and get your Halloween picture taken — it will be uploaded on our digital photo display in the library. We can’t wait to see you! The Wednesday Handmade program will resume next week.
Thursday, November 1
10am-2pm – Hooks & Needles, Yarns & Threads – Are you a traditional, punch or latch rug hooker? Do you knit, crochet, do needlework, cross stitch or any other needle or yarn craft? Come to our informal social gatherings, on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. Drop in any time between 10am & 2pm! $1 suggested donation, to go toward the purchase of resource materials for the library collection.
Friday, November 2
9:30am – Mixed Level Yoga w/Barbara Eichin, RYT – Four classes: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/30 – This level 1 and 2 class is designed for students who are familiar with yoga basics, as well as more experienced practitioners. Class typically begins with Sun Salutations and then moves to standing, seated and reclining poses. Balancing poses, inversions, breathing and meditation will also be incorporated. Class ends with relaxation. Students should wear nonrestrictive clothing and bring a yoga mat. Class size is limited to 10 students, therefore pre-registration is required. Call the library at 845-757-3771, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop in to register. Cost of the 4 week session is $50, or the drop-in price is $15 per class. The class will take place on the 3rd floor of the Watts de Peyster Hall building, above the library. 2:00pm – Super Fun Play Time! – Join us to play games, build with LEGOs and make crafts. For ages 3-5, with caregivers.
4:00pm – Game Time! Grades 1+ – Come on over to the library to play some games with your friends! Appropriate for kids in grades 1 and up.
5:30pm – Math Circle – Join us at the Tivoli Free Library, when Bard College’s Math Club brings over fun games and projects! All ages welcome!
