The newest collection of work by Hudson Valley artist Thomas Cale represents the fundamental belief that music inspires art. “When I enter my studio, the first step in the artistic process is to turn on the stereo”, he shares. He considers the music a critically important part of his creative experience and this collection of paintings clearly exemplifies this belief.

The images included in this exhibition, each one unique, were all developed in response to ideas generated by the songs of his favorite musicians. Some paintings depict the musicians themselves.
