Some Rhinebeck school programs to be restored

Under the proposal, the district property tax levy is projected to rise by $853,000, or 3.65 percent, to $24.23 million. Overall spending would increase by $724,793, or 2.6 percent.

Expenses in the proposed budget include:

• $8.55 million in regular teaching costs, down 2 percent from 2010-11.

• $7.1 million for employee benefits, up 14.4 percent.

• $3.1 million for general support, up 5.2 percent.
