RHINEBECK AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCES DATE OF ANNUAL TREELIGHTING AND CHILDREN’S PARADE

 Place:        Rhinebeck Savings Bank Plaza

Date:         Sunday, November 27, 2011

Time:  Activities begin at 3pm; Parade steps off at Burnett-White Funeral Home (corner of East Market and Mulberry Streets) at 5pm, Treelighting immediately follows Parade

Activities to include:  Arrival of Santa Claus, Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides with Lenny Miller, Holiday Music all day (including karaoke for kids!), Food Drive run by Church of the Messiah Youth Group and Sunday School and a host of other family activities facilitated by Friends of the 5th Grade Whale Watch, Northern Dutchess Hospital Mother’s Club, Rhinebeck Science Foundation, Sinterklaas and the Lions Club.

All children who wish to participate in the parade should line up at Burnett-White Funeral Home at 5pm. The Lions Club will provide each child with a special light-stick to carry.

Williams Lumber has kindly offered the use of a truck that we hope to fill with items for the Messiah Food Pantry, which provides nourishment to countless families who need it. Please bring non-perishable items to help us fill that truck!

Children’s Parade of Lights

Children of all ages welcome to walk in the parade down East Market Street and gather in the Rhinebeck Savings Bank Plaza Parking Lot to welcome Santa!   Line up at Corner of Mulberry and East Market Street 5:00 p.m. Welcome Santa to the Rhinebeck Savings Parking Lot at 5:15 p.m. Lighting of the Tree at 5:30 p.m.
