Rhinebeck Tree Planting Planned for Nov. 6
Plant a tree! The Rhinebeck Village Tree Commission is planning a tree planting along South Parsonage Street, and some other sites around the Village, on Saturday, November 6, 9 AM until 1 PM. Participants will meet at the Lion’s Club Mini-Park for a short tree planting lesson, and then go off in groups to plant the trees. Dress for the weather. Bring gloves and a shovel if possible. Everyone is invited. These are bare root trees which are lighter than balled and bur lapped trees, and the holes are pre-dug. Planting involves making the hole fit the tree, filling in the hole, staking and watering. There are several different jobs involved in planting so not everyone will need to shovel or do heavy work. Families are welcome! It is a great way to celebrate fall outdoors together. This is a chance to help make Rhinebeck beautiful. Please let us know if you can help by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or 845-876-8841
