Memorial Day Parade
The annual Memorial Day parade sponsored by the American Legion Post 429 is scheduled for May 31.
Ceremonies will begin at 9:15 a.m. in Rhinecliff with a firing squad salute to the nation’s war dead followed by a flag-raising.
The guest speaker will be U.S. Army Capt. Daniel Drake, U.S. Army, a Bronze Medal recipient.
Lineup for the parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on U.S. Route 9. The parade will step off at 10:30 a.m.
The parade will proceed down Mulberry Street and East Market Street and then south on Route 9 to the Rhinebeck Cemetery, where services will be held.
