This is sad…Woman dies after jump off Kingston bridge
RHINECLIFF: A 64-year-old Pleasant Valley woman jumped to her death Wednesday from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge in the Town of Rhinebeck. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said the woman parked her car in the westbound lane around 3:13 p.m. and jumped from the north side of the bridge into the Hudson River. The incident was witnessed by several passing motorists, the sheriff’s office said. Her body could be seen floating in the river, and a boat from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office was sent to assist. The body was taken ashore to Rhinecliff. The incident is under investigation by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office. Members of the State Police, Town of Ulster Police Department, Northern Dutchess Paramedics and the Rhinecliff Fire Department assisted at the scene.
