School tax levy rises 3.99% in Rhinebeck budget

RHINEBECK — A $27.76 million Rhinebeck school budget proposal that would increase the district property tax levy by 3.99 percent will go to voters May 18.

The Board of Education last week adopted the plan, which would increase spending by $571,090, or 2.1 percent, in 2010-11. The amount to be raised by property taxes would increase by $897,748, to $23.38 million.
