City farming project has seeds for sale

The Poughkeepsie Farm Project’s City Seeds Community Seed Project is making seeds grown in the city available to the public

The seeds are available free to educational and nonprofit groups, for distribution to those in need and to project volunteers.

Individuals may also purchase seeds for $3 a packet or 10 packets for $25. Orders may be placed in advance by e-mail or phone and can be picked up while supplies last: Vassar College Main Building, Poughkeepsie from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through April 21; Poughkeepsie Farm Project from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 15 and 9 a.m. to noon May 22; Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 24 and 25; Poughkeepsie Main Street Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays in June; by appointment at the Poughkeepsie Farm Project.
